Episode 191: You have one new Voicemail

A quick message for you…

Transcript:

You have one unheard message. First unheard message sent yesterday at 7:15 p.m..

Hey, it's Sarah Steckler. I know who leaves voicemails anymore, right? I know you're busy and maybe working right now, but I have no idea how long this message can actually be. So it might cut me off, but I just want to call you and see how you're doing. I know there's a lot going on in the world right now and it feels like it's been that way for years. And I just wanted to check in on you. Are you doing okay? I know I've definitely had my ups and downs recently and lately, and sometimes I just think it's nice to hear somebody on the other end of the phone or the Internet just checking in and letting you know that I care. And I think about you and wanted to just remind you that whatever. Cool you're currently working on, I, I know you have a lot going on, but I know there was one that you haven't told me about yet. It's worth it. It's worth your time and your energy and your investment in yourself.

And you can do it. You can do it and you can do it your way. You know, there's so many people online telling you if you want to run a business or if you want to do a creative project or if you want to publish something or start your own podcast, that you have to do it the certain way and you have to be the certain person. But you can just be yourself. Truly, trust me. Have you seen how many entrepreneurs lately are like bigger entrepreneurs or shutting down their business or saying, Hey, I'm really mega burnt out? A lot of the ways I feel like these people are doing things, it just hasn't been sustainable and you can do it a sustainable way. You don't have to run your business full time to be, quote unquote successful entrepreneur. You don't even have to make more money than your spouse or anyone else. You know. You don't have to be a millionaire. You don't have to do any of these things any one way. You can just do it in a way that feels good for you.

And you can still have a job if you want. You can even pause your business and go back to work if you need to. There's been tons of people that have been messaging me lately, just telling me about all the different ways that they're thinking about building a business or shifting their business model. And I just want to let you know, like, you have full permission to do that. I know this is a really random message, and maybe I should have just boxed you instead. But I don't know. It just felt very 1990s, early, 2000s of me. I thought I'd send you a message and I'm probably going to fill up your voicemail box by. I just think you're awesome. And I hope you do, too. And I hope you take some time this week to remember that you have a really unique take on a lot of different things. And the world needs more creativity now. The world needs entrepreneurs and a diverse group of people to show up in the world. Right now.

We need more of that. I know it can feel like, who am I right now to say anything or do anything or create something or sell something to other people? But. What is the world if we don't continue to show up and do things for ourselves and for other people? I don't know. It was just a thought I had anyway. I don't want to take up too much of your time. Don't worry. You don't need to call me back whenever you get this. I just hope it makes your day better. And I hope you have a really good day. And yeah, you can always message me over on Instagram at Mindful Productivity Podcast. And by the way, I know this is a funky podcast episode, but I mean it. If you want to say hi, I'd love to say hi back. I hope you're doing okay. I hope you're hanging in there. I'll see you next week on the podcast.
